ReliaLife Privacy Policy

Overview

ReliaLife is a maintenance tracking application for homes and small businesses. We built it to help you look after your equipment, not to collect your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is protected.

What we collect

• Account information — If you create an account, we store your email address and name with Supabase, our backend provider. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the email address and name those services share with us (with Apple, this may be a private relay address if you choose to hide your email); we never see your Apple or Google password.
• App data — Assets, components, maintenance tasks, usage readings, completion history, rounds, spare parts, schedules and one-time tasks you create in the app, along with the business and site details you enter (names, addresses, and the US state a site is in, which decides which inspection laws apply). This data is stored on your device and, if you have an account, synced to Supabase.
• Photos you attach — If you photograph a receipt or service paperwork for a maintenance record, or add a business logo for printed labels, the image is stored in private storage with your account. We never access your photo library beyond the pictures you choose to attach.
• How you use the app — Whether you use ReliaBase or ReliaPro, the platform (iPhone, Android or web), the app version, and when the app was last opened, recorded at most every six hours. This tells us which accounts are active and helps us support them. It is not used for advertising.
• Equipment the library could not answer for — When you add a make and model that our maintenance library has no plan for, we record the make, model, equipment type and model years so we can add it. This never includes serial numbers, tags, names or addresses: only what kind of machine it is.
• Feedback — If you submit feedback through the app, we store the text of that message.

What we do not collect

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not collect location data, contacts, or any data outside the app.

Local-only users

If you use ReliaLife without creating an account, all data remains on your device only. We have no access to it. If you uninstall the app or switch devices, that data is permanently lost.

Data storage and security

Account data is stored with Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Row-level security policies ensure your data is visible only to you and to people you have explicitly invited into your account. You can see who has access, and remove anyone, on the People screen; a person you remove immediately loses access to your records.

Future partner programs

We may in the future offer optional programs that allow you to share your maintenance data with third-party partners, such as insurance providers, in exchange for benefits. Participation will always be opt-in and you will be notified before any data is shared. This policy will be updated with full details before any such program is launched.

Data retention

You can delete individual records at any time within the app. Deleting your account through Settings permanently removes everything: every record you own, attached photos and logos, sharing links, feedback you sent, your profile, and the account itself. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the app's access to your Apple ID. This happens immediately and cannot be undone. If you need help, contact us at the email below.

Children

ReliaLife is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
